TERMS & CONDITIONS

Orders for products from our website are accepted on the following terms and conditions:

1. Accuracy of website information: we have used every effort to ensure that information on our website is accurate. No warranty is however given as to the accuracy of information provided.

2. Price and availability of products are subject to change and we reserve the right to withdraw any product from sale or to correct any error on the website without incurring any liability.

3. Price and payment:

i. The price payable by you will be the price of the product as advertised on our website at the time of acceptance of your order; except in the case of manifest error when the provisions of paragraph 2 above will apply.

ii. Prices are quoted inclusive of Value Added Tax at the applicable rate but exclude the cost of delivery.

iii. Payment will be made by credit card when we accept your order. Any refunds payable will normally be made as a credit to your payment card.

4. Law: English law will apply to the contract between us and the English courts will have jurisdiction in the case of any dispute.

Making A Purchase Click on any items that you wish to buy to put them into the shopping basket. When you have finished your selection, you will be asked for a few details that we need .

Prices are quoted in British currency. If you live elsewhere, your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency when they send your statement to you and request payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.

You are entitled to a free Topic CD of your choice for every 4 separate album titles you buy at their normal prices in one order by credit or debit card from our online shop.. Only single albums are offered free - we cannot supply double or triple CDs etc as part of this free offer. For the Buy 4 get 1 free offer, first buy your CDs as normal from the main full price sections. Next, please select one free CD (for every 4 you bought) from the list in the "Choose Your Free 'Buy 4 Get 1 Free' CDs Here" section. You can also find this list by using the "Buy 4 Get 1 Free List" button on the left. Make sure you add your free CD to your basket BEFORE you go to checkout. Post & Packing is charged as normal on free CDs.

Please make sure you are choosing your CDs from the correct price list to suit you - either full price, or the £0.00 "Buy 4 Get 1 Free" bonus CD list. You should use the latter if you are entitled, AFTER buying 4 CDs at FULL price. Please note that our shopping system cannot automatically re-calculate the free CD's price to zero if you have chosen it from the main full price list. More information at the foot of the page.

Shipping And Handling Shipping is by first class post in the UK or by air mail. Shipping charges as below are normally added to the published cost of the item according to the "zone" to which the item is despatched.

UK for the first single CD despatched we add £1.07, plus additional £0.25 for each extra CD in the delivery

EUROPE for the first single CD despatched we add £1.46, plus additional £0.45 for each extra CD in the delivery

USA & ALL OTHER PLACES for the first single CD despatched we add £1.83, plus additional £0.95 for each extra CD in the delivery

[n.b. for calculating shipping charges, there is a pro-rata addition by weight for larger items such as the Acoustic Folk Box or the 20CD Voice Of The People set]

Delivery Schedule We always try deliver your order right away, and we will normally despatch your order to you within two business days. International orders are generally received in under ten days.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

We may advertise a new CD in the online catalogue and include an "order the above item" button in advance of its release date. If so, you may order it and the order will become a "back order" if there are no stocks yet available. If you order a CD which is known to be (as yet) un-released as part of a larger order, we reserve the right to hold other CDs in the same order for a reasonably short length of time. This would be in order to minimise the extra shipping costs of a second package, since these extra costs would at our expense. If the delay would be unreasonable, however, the main order will be shipped as normal and the new release CD sent when stocks are available from the factory.

Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT (Value Added Tax) is added. All other orders are VAT free. If tax is applied to your order and you are not liable to pay it, you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero. Topic Records VAT Reg. No. is GB 229 7102 67.

Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. We use SSL security to encrypt your credit card details before transferring them to us. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Privacy Policy Topic Records does not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item. If you ask us to use the "Remember Me" feature, a cookie is used to store your name and address details so that they will appear in your checkout form to save you re-typing them. Note that sensitive information like credit card details is not saved.This cookie is not of any use to any other web site but ours.

We will add you to our own mailing list for advising customers of new release news and information . Your address details will not be passed on to anyone else. We may also include details of releases from other record labels that we might be able to supply to you by mail order. You may request that your e-mail address be removed from our mailing list by sending an e-mail to webmailing@topicrecords.co.uk stating "unsubscribe please" in the Subject box.

Returns Policy Returns: To return an item, please enclose a note giving the reason for the return, wrap the package securely and send the package to the address below. In the case of a defective product, please provide a full description of the fault and return the defective item in its original box (if any). This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancellation: Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within seven working days of delivery. This applies to all our products. To cancel in this way, please give the reason for the return as "Contract Cancellation". Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us with any paperwork so that we receive it within seven working days of the date that the item was delivered to you. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. If we do not receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost. You should be aware that once we begin the delivery process, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out by us (for example, postage and packing). As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item.
