The whole guitar-based section of the late twentieth century British folk revival owes an enormous debt to Davy Graham. The ideas explored across his earliest recordings have had a huge impact and continue to resound through the work of succeeding generations of musicians. For innumerable young guitarists, Davy Graham was the undisputed guitar hero of the British folk-blues clubs in the early and mid-1960s: a remarkable and wildly inventive musician.
